Mission Statement

Our Mission: The mission of SFA Chapter LXVIII is to perform as a social and support organization for former, current, and future soldiers (qualified and/or affiliated), of the Special Forces (SF) community in West Virginia and surrounding areas. It will offer a venue for all SF members (active, Guard, Reserve) to regularly meet in a social environment to share SF related experiences. The Chapter will endeavor to provide family and residential assistance to SF soldiers during times of unit deployment. Finally, the Chapter will strive to promote the well-being and history of the 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne). Our Goals: * Promote the presence of Special Forces in West Virginia. * Strengthen the relationship between former, retired, and current SF and SPECOPS soldiers in West Virginia. *Sustain the lineage, brotherhood, and camaraderie of the SF community in West Virginia. * Maintain a presence and availability for assistance and support to SF families in times of deployment and/or personal need. *Serve as a social connection for all soldiers who have experienced the brotherhood of the SF profession of arms. *Maintain the historical achievements and memory of fallen SF comrades,…men of vision and courage,…men who lived a full life of adventure,… men who dared to be different,…and men who had a complete respect and commitment to keep their fellow man free and secure from oppression,...e.g. by providing the respectful service of "Honor Guards" and funeral service personnel, taking care of family members left behind, and memorializing their contributions to the Special Forces community, and specifically the 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne) .
